Analyses

Select Analysis in the navigation bar to open the analyses. The page has the following tabs:

TabWhat it is for
WizardGuided analyses that take you through a few steps. Opens by default.
Feature AnalysesReusable definitions of person features, used in characterizations.
CharacterizationsDescribe one or more cohorts: demographics, conditions, drugs and other features, optionally compared across cohorts.
Cohort PathwaysShow the sequences of treatments or events that persons in a cohort follow, as a sunburst chart.
Incidence RatesCalculate how often an outcome occurs in a target cohort during a time at risk.

Wizards

Wizards guide you through common analyses step by step, without building the analysis yourself:

  1. Selection: choose a wizard, for example to calculate incidence, prevalence or mortality.
  2. Intro: read what the wizard calculates and what it needs.
  3. Form: choose the data source, cohorts and other inputs.
  4. Results: see the results.

Which wizards are available depends on the data source and is set up by your administrator. If the list is empty, no wizards are configured for the data source yet.

ATLAS analyses

Characterizations, cohort pathways, incidence rates and feature analyses work as in standard ATLAS. Each analysis type has a list, an editor and a results view:

  1. Select the tab of the analysis type and select New to create an analysis, or select an existing one.
  2. Choose the cohorts and settings of the analysis, and save it.
  3. Run the analysis on a data source you have access to, and open the results when the run has completed.

The analyses use cohort definitions, so define and generate your cohorts first.
